Dave Evans

Dave’s desire to help people who are in need drove him into a career in Emergency Medical Services soon after graduating from High School.

Dave’s pre-hospital journey began in the summer of 1997, when he started out as an Emergency Medical Technician in a small town in northern Alberta, Canada.   After a few years of rural experience, Dave re-located back home to Calgary where he completed his Advanced Care Paramedic education and began to work for the City of Calgary Emergency Medical Services in 2001.  Eight years later, Dave started his dream job working for STARS Air Ambulance as a Flight Paramedic.

Dave has held numerous roles within STARS from a Flight Paramedic, Clinical Educator, Base Manager, Base Development during an expansion and currently as the Senior Director, Clinical Services.  While working at STARS, Dave also completed a Masters of Arts in Leadership with Royal Roads University, Certified Transport Medical Executive certificate as well as a being named to the 2016 Avenue Magazine Top 40 Under 40 to watch.

Dave also spent 8 years on the Association of Air Medical Services Board of Directors, serving two years as Chairman of the Board.  Dave is incredibly passionate about patients, their families and the air medical industry.
